Beware--like the other reviewer, I own new Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 (2010 technology), which is not compatible with this Iogear 2005 technology. It can't see the mouse when plugged into the "keyboard" USB, where it must be connected in order for the hot-keys/switches to work. It works on the "mouse" USB slot, but then you can't switch--which defeats the purpose. Customer support not very brilliant either. Took 30 minutes first on hold, then when finally got a live person (not foreign as in most cases), it took at least a minute or two for him to get my name straight--and I have a very common name. It was down hill from there until we both finally agreed and determined that the cable was not compatible with my keyboard. By the way, the rep said "we don't keep a list of keyboards that aren't compatible." It seems like to save their time and ours, they would have started with that.

According to IOGear Techincal Support this product only supports 102 key keyboards and is not guaranteed to support shortcut keys such as web and mail on current keyboards. Definitely did NOT support the Logitech Wave keyboard.

I had this IOGEAR for about 1 year. As soon as I installed it, it worked like a charm. Being in the IT field, it really helps me multi-task by switching between two computers. I recommend it to anyone looking for a compact USB KVM device.
