    Can this product be used to capture writing on a computer screen in real time? I would like to use it to do video lectures and want to be able to write on the computer screen as I go along

      No this product does not capture input onto a computer screen in real time. You could do that that with a pen and graphics tablet connect to your computer. This product is data recorder for future playback.
