Overall seems like a good easel. However, factor assy. is another story. The left paper holding screw nut appears destroyed during assy and I'm unable to screw in the paper holding screw. With a pending presentation I'm not happy. I think one in good working order would make a big difference in my view of this product.

Q:
Will this easel work on a table top with the legs folded? If so how does it hold an "A" frame. Last question is --- are the legs sturdy and will this product serve us well without a lot of grief. We recently purchased a Quartet item # QRTEU500E with telescoping legs. One of the legs slide in and the whole easel crashed on the floor and threw our Directors materials all over and the top part of the easel broke. We arranged to send it back to Staples, however when UPS came to get it I was told that it need to be in a box. If we order a new easel I will use the box that easel comes in.

  No, this item is not meant for a table top, but it has a durable frame is dent and scratch resistant. The box from the easel you purchase would be fine to use. We just need a box so the easel will sit properly in the truck and not damage other items if it should slide or fall.

  They are called Telescoping legs. There is a button on each leg that you push in and the legs fold into the unit so it is ends up being the size of the frame without the legs.
