I have burned 10 movies via Roxio capture device from old vhs home movies. So far, no coasters. DVDs play on HD tv with built-in DVD player. Burned at 8x, so I can't attest to the 16x advertised speed. Great product for the price.

            Worth trying. Remember all DVD-CD media has a shelf life. The only way to be more assured of that life time is to invest in Gold Media. About $3.25-$4.00 a disc. Still not as proven as CLAY TABLETS.

                A DVD+R uses a system referred to as AdIP (Address in Pregroove) to help reduce error and interruptions when burning the disc. DVD-R does not have that.
