    With the 2TB model, can I have both hard drives (1TB each) automatically mirror each other, so if one hard drive permanently fails all data is backed up on the other? Is this easily setup?

      Yes, the product mirrors using RAID-1 technology, but it can also do RAID-0 striping. So the basic answer is the driver mirrors data so that if one drive fails, you can still read/write to the other 1TB drive.

      Yes, the Iomega 2TB StorCenter ix2-200 Network Storage can be configured to automatically mirror each hard drive. This option is automatically set up on the network storage device unless otherwise indicated during installation or set up with your computer network.
