Comments about Jabra® TALK Universal Bluetooth® Mono Headset, Gray:

This universal head set is quite an ear piece. It is very practical and use-full.This unit pairs with all my blue tooth devices.Pairing is simple.the fit is extremely comfortable.I can wear this over sixteen hours per day,and not even realize that it is on or I am using it.The color is modest.I have owned so many black models,of assorted manufactuers.I really enjoyed making this decision in choosing this item. The price was reasonable, and I believe, that the shipping was free.

Comments about Jabra® TALK Universal Bluetooth® Mono Headset, Gray:

I needed a Bluetooth but I didn't want to spend too much. This one had the right price, and the reviews seemed positive. Here's my experience:
        The Good:
Price is low. Sound quality is not too bad on phone calls and music. The clip fits my ear nicely. It came with an extra earpiece and earclip, which was nice, as these items do tend to get lost. When a call comes in it's easy to just push the top of the headset and it connects quickly. It's very easy to connect to my Iphone. The indicator lights on the back are easy to read and understand. The battery seems to last a long time. When the battery starts to run low, you'll hear "low battery" in the headpiece as you use it to remind you to plug it in. The volume control on the side is easy to use.
        The Bad & Ugly:
The ear piece is giving me an earache. Just can't seem to make it fit comfortably. When I use it for listening to podcasts, the sound cuts out intermittently (but music seems to work fine.) The button on top is sensitive so you have to be careful when you adjust it or you'll make a call. It's a little difficult to connect to Siri to use the hands free calling. You can do it, but it usually takes me a few attempts. When the battery is low, it reminds you over and over again, and when you are having a conversation, you just want to scream, "OK, I HEAR YOU, STOP NAGGING ME!" Like any bluetooth, it's small and black, so I've already misplaced it several times. Ugh.
        The Bottom Line:
For the price I paid, I think it's a pretty good deal. It works when I need it, especially in the car. I'm hoping I can find a more comfortable earpiece to use.

Comments about Jabra® TALK Universal Bluetooth® Mono Headset, Gray:

The Jabra Talk is a great headset for someone who does not wish to spend a great amount of money. The sound and volume is really great and also it gives you indication that you are connected whenever you push the button at top of unit. This Bluetooth fits my ear in a very comfortable way and sometimes you really don't know that you are wearing it. The on/off switch is located in a unusual location but one gets used to it after turning it on/off. The pairing is also very easy and volume is great during operation. This Bluetooth is really a great headset for beginners. I use it all the time even at home.

        Excellent device, except...

Comments about Jabra® TALK Universal Bluetooth® Mono Headset, Gray:

Jabra has a pretty good reputation in the telephone accessory market, and when I found myself in need of a new Bluetooth headset, I thought I should try this one. The price was right, at least. But I wound up returning it.

First the pros: The sound quality is really good. Noise cancellation is above average, and it paired up to my Note 3 with no trouble at all. I particularly liked that I could listen to Spotify over the headset, something my old one doesn't do. I also liked that the LEDs on the Jabra TALK are on the inside of the device--My old device has an LED on the outside, and when I'm driving at night, it flashes periodically in standby mode, and I see the blue light reflected in the window, and it distracts me. Little things like that impress me. The earhook is far more comfortable than the one on my old device. I wore the Jabra TALK for 4 hours without any discomfort at all. Finally, the range is impressive: I set my phone on my desk in the front of my building, and walked to the breakroom in the back for coffee--it stayed connected right up until I walked into the breakroom. It gave me a signal that the connection was lost, and then when I left the breakroom, it seamlessly reconnected.

Ah, but now the cons: A number of people mention that the redial button is on a hair trigger, and they constantly find themselves placing second calls to people. I thought that was silly--just be aware of the button, and don't fiddle with it, and you'll be fine. Well, by the third day, that was bugging me too. Fortunately, the only calls I placed were to a Webex site, so no embarrassment suffered, but still... And I might have been able to follow my own advice and just not fiddle with the device while it was on, but the second con was that the earhook is made for someone with a smaller ear than myself. As a result, it kept pulling the speaker out of my ear canal. It held securely enough that I never thought the device would fall off, but it would pull it out of my ear, then I'd grab it to push it back in, and then the redial button would get triggered. *Sigh!* And the final con was the voice they got to announce when the unit was paired with the phone. "Cunnecti-i-id!" she says. A little thing that normally wouldn't bug me, but with the other bad things going on with the device, I just couldn't take it.

In summary, this device has a lot of great stuff going for it. It's really a pretty good device. Maybe it's possible to reshape the earhook to fit your own personal ear better, but there were no instructions for doing so. And whoever designed the software to treat a single momentary press of the button as an unconfirmed callback was asleep at the switch.
