Q: What is the range from the wall for this arm? Can the range be varied? I have a 19" Dell monitor on a tilt stand. Its looks like the stand can be removed, but there are no pre-drilled holes in the back of this monitor. Would it be safe to drill holes to attach this arm to my monitor? I would like to get the monitor off my desk for extra room and be able to move it closer to where I sit. Maybe I should check with Dell first and see if they have a custom arem for this monitor?? Asked on 3/31/2010 by SteveElk from Athens, AL Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: This extends the monitor 24" from the wall. You would need to make sure your monitor is VESA compatible. Answered on 4/16/2010 by Customer Care from Staples A: Do NOT drill holes in your monitor. Take the stand off, check behind it to see if any mounting holes are inside. No matter what you do, don't drill into the monitor case, there are thousands of things in there that could be damaged. Q: what is the biggest monitor size and weight this wall mount will hold? Asked on 11/4/2009 by Talice from sarasota, fl Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: This wall mount arm can support up to 20 lbs. The concern is how the product is mounted into the wall. The stronger the wall and the screws used to anchor it, the more the unit can support. Maximum load bearing weight is 40 lbs, but that is too heavy for most walls.
