I first used a Keurig at a company I was working at in Vermont. They are good machines, perfect for one or two cups a day, or for many. The problem is, it is a fast brewing machine and sometimes the coffee tastes a little weak. One of the best flavors I found was the French Roast that comes with the machine, but they tried to compensate for the watery taste with a strong brew.
Newman's Own Extra Bold gets by that quite nicely. It tastes like a real brewed cup of coffee without the watery taste or harshness other blends seem to have. It's a rich, mellow blend, not harsh or acidic, and what you would expect to get from a good percolator or expensive coffee machine. Add the convenience of the Keurig cups, and it's the perfect combination. You can even run it through the machine, albeit a bit weaker, but still flavorful.

I bought these Newman's own K-cups as a convenient way to enjoy a quick pick-me-up at work. Newman's is a company I believe in. I don't like the K-cup concept as it seems like a lot of plastic and waste. Surprisingly I did not love this blend. Kinda bland. I think I'll go back to my good, fresh roasted beans and use the reusable cup insert. No waste and great taste.

Having lived in Europe, I am hooked on dark roasts. This coffee hits the spot. The K-Cups keep the grounds fresh until they are used and so you don't get that bitter taste from coffee that has oxidized over time.
