Kingston 16GB DataTraveler 101 Generation 2 USB 2.0 USB Flash Drive was an excellent value. I purchssed one on sale in March 2013 for a couple bucks higher than the 8 Gigabyte unit also on sale. Kingston has a good reputation & I have purchased their 8 GB unit previously. Unit included a urDrive preloaded application. Kingston is an established manufacturer which started in 1987 & is a "Best Company to Work for in America" per Fortune magazine. Unit is convenient & fits in my pocket. I like to attach it to a lanyard so it's easy to locate. It's guaranteed & has a warranty. Earth friendly packaging. Several colors & capacities are available. The "cap" is built in & I can't lose it. USB 2.0 standards.

I bought this flash drive to store photos for a college photography class I am taking. It holds an incredible amount of pictures and the price was definitely right but when I use it in the computers on campus and then put it in my computer at home I almost always lose a few pictures. After using it in my home computer and then putting it in the computer at school three or four picture files simpy say contains no data. Frustrating!! Since I am asked to take very specific pictures to illustrate my understanding of the concept outlined in each assignment all of my pictures are essential to my course work and my grade.
I definitely would not buy this to store important documents or work information since you may lose it. If I can't use this product in more then one computer what is the point!

I purchased the Kingston 16GB DataTraveler 101 Generation 2 USB 2.0 USB Flash Drive (Black) by Kingston Brass. I have several USB flash drives but I like this one the best because of the large memory. I am including at least 400 characters in my comments to receive the bonus points. This may be the last time I do this. After removing the brand new USB from the packaging I discovered I had to delete some of the programming that was preinstalled on it. Then I thought about running outside to show the neighbors. End. I've reached 437 characters.

        The price was fantastic and it is a reliable jump drive. I needed extra space and this certainly filled the bill. They were readily available at the store so that I did not have to spend a lot of time looking for it. The only problem I had was trying to open the package. Once opened, there was no problem. It was not full of extra files either, which was nice--I could just starting using it. I would definitely purchase more of these as the need arises. I hope they will go on sale often--naturally when I need another one.
