Real World 1.62GB music files transer to Kingston SSD 21.22 seconds compared to western digital 7200 rpm drive same file at 46.45 seconds.

Best packaging I have seen for an SSD. Had 3.5" adaptor bracket included. Easy to install if you are comfortable opening up your device.

This was so good, I got a second unit. I highly recomend this drive from Kingston Hyper X!!

This drive is nothing but trouble if you want to
use it as your system drive and boot to it. I wasted almost 2 days
on it.
I copied my raid-ed system and hidden boot partition with paragon.
Although windows came up just fine, I couldn't reactivate it. It
turned out there was no access to BCD. Although I recreated it from
scratch few times, it still wasn't accessible to windows. I noticed
if I temporarily assign a drive letter to my hidden partition and
browse to BCD from EasyBCD, I can recreate BCD and unassign the
drive letter and everything works perfectly fine... Until I reboot
pc. System partition also is unable to be aligned with paragon
alignment tool, even though it tries. As if there's no access to
really modify the drive. Drive comes with outdated firmware 5.0.1.
Kingston support site says there's no update, which is not true if
you make some research. The only reason they don't make it
available online is because
apparently they have to many versions of this model requiring
different versions of firmware, so you have to contact their
support just to get the right firmware. I contacted them 4 days ago
and to this day nobody got back to me, even though their automated
reply said they would in 24 hrs. Also, the problem may be because
I'm using ahci compatible raid instead of ahci directly, but
nowhere in product specs it says it can only work on ahci. Raid
includes ahci, so it should work just the same. But kingston tools
to check the drive won't even work in raid mode, only in ahci. This
is really poor.
I used other ssd drives and never had that problem. Example:
sandisk has firmware updates available on their site and everything
works perfectly in raid mode or ahci just the same. I'm sending
this drive back and getting sandisk extreme instead - excellent
product.
As for my credibility, in my profession I trobleshoot and perform
updates, installations daily, so I am very familiar with computer
hardware amd software. I've been doing this for over 20 years, and
I built plenty of high-end gaming systems.

If you are going to choose a upgrade for your computer I would say a Solid State drive is an excellent choice. Its a dramatic difference in performance.

Comments about Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB 2.5" SATA III (6 Gb/s) MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD):

I like to think of myself as a technilogically kind of guy, and when i want something to move and fuction with precicion and speed the kingston hyper x 3k definitely meets my expectations. Now my gigabyte p55 motherboard doesnt support 6g data transfer, so im stuck running the ssd at half speed but thats not a big issue because it still loads my programs and games instantly. Its too soon to tell since ive only had it for about 2 weeks so judging by the performance boost i havent had to run a optimizer every week on my computer since installed. SO far i havent found any cons just yet exceptnfor the lack of storage capacity and prize range but other then that, i csnt stress this more but to say great job kingston this is probably by far one of your best products ever made and greatjob adding sandforce to the hyper x which made it very fast and smooth.

I chose this over the Samsung drives which I know a lot of people obsess over, (thinking Samsung is a better name) but Kingston has been in the memory game way longer and therefore I think of greater quality and reliability.
I am running two of these bad boys in RAID 0 and am just shy of 1GB/S read speeds!!! VERY impressed!!! My computer boots to the desktop in under 30 seconds including how long it takes to enter my password!
