I bought my Kodak ESP 9 about one year ago to replace an HP printer, and I have not once been disappointed. The cartridges are a fraction of the cost of what I used to pay for an HP cartridge, and last just as long. I used this printer through most of grad school, and even after printing multiple 20+ page documents per week the black cartridge would still last for months! And I have never, EVER, had a problem with the ink smearing! Glad I got this printer.

I can understand the cartridges being cheaper priced than the HP I replaced as they don't last half as long and the quality is no better. Prints slower as well. Am rather dissapointed as I replaced my HP printer with the objective of saving money on ink. Not proving to be so. I also took my last empty cartridge to Staples when I replaced it for recycling and noticed I wasn't given credit for it. I guess because they don't cost enough to replace. No point in buying my cartridges there anymore for me as it's out of my way. Just as cheap without recycle credit as anywhere else.
