The toner cartridge comes with a return prepaid sticker. This shows a company with environmental awareness. However, the drum cartridge does not come that way. It headed for the landfill. Too bad that Konica, Minolta can't find away to deal with the drum too.

Was just what I needed. My old toner was squeaking and would run lines down the page, very unprofessional for a business. This was all it took to fix it!! Very happy with it :)

It is just the outer shell. I thought it would print 20,000 pages. But it does not print any as it does not have ink. My misunderstanding might help someone else from same mistake.

  The printer or AIO machine will have give you a signal when it's time to change the drum. The situation you are experiencing may have more to do with the toner. Contact Konica Minolta for troubleshooting ideas.

  The drum fuses the toner onto the page. The machine requires both, the drum will last up to 20,000 pages

How does the plastic around the basic toner cartridge enable 17,000 more pages? The basic toner gives 3,000 and this gives 20,000...???

  This is the Drum unit for the printer. The drum fuses the toner onto the page, your printer will use both a toner cartridge and drum.
