About the best thing I can say is that at least the B & W is about half the cost of the color. For what they charge you for the color toner cartridges they should "beeeping" give the printer if you promise to use it for a 2 years.

Staples could make a mint if they could figure out how to refill these units.

These cartridges last a long time. Don't be fooled into replacing them when the printer tells you a cartridge is low. That warning comes on when you still have about 15% of the toner left. The printer will stop completely when you actually run out of ink in a cartridge, which is a surprisingly long time after the warning comes on. Buy an extra cartridge when the warning comes on, but don't put it in until the old cartridge is actually empty.
