I am replacing due to failure of springs -- after 15+ years of daily use. Very dependable, easily adjustable over reading material next to computer. Central glass magnifier easy to clean. As gets older on/off sticks, have to hold down to turn on.

Worked great right out of the box. Clamps easily to desk or table with a 2-3" overhang. Springs are plenty strong to hold the lamp securely in any position. Great reach.

I would have given it a 5 if the light was instant start.

I use two of these over a large hobby and work area. The balance of light, 3X mag diopter, circular light allow for just the right amount of light without casting shadows or causing bright spots. I use the power outlets on the body as well for short-corded power tools; these are great!

I am using this lamp in my hobbies
woodworking, and model building. The clamp opening is not wide enough to fit on the end of my wood work bench, the holes in the work bench are 5/8th's in diameter the lamp shaft does not fit well I have to use a clamp too hold it steady.
