I purchased this computer to replace an aging machine. I don't play games but run three monitors and have mail and other application running at the same time throughout the day. I have purchased three items at deep discount (after rebate). An Antec 520w power supply, 80GB SSD drive and 1Mb video card. I installed the additional ATI video card and the system recognized it and automatically crossfired it with the onboard video card. I replaced the hard drive and kept the Western Digital drive that came with the computer as a backup. I replaced the power supply and used the one I took out (280W) for a backup as I have experienced a failure of psu and run my computers nine hours a day five days a week. I also added an additional 80MM fan at the front to assist with cooling. If you replace the psu you may run into an issue of space in this box as it is very small and newer psu's have many connections and longer cords. The manual regarding backups and making your own Recovery Disk is very confusing and not well written. The system is quite and since this is a FM1 motherboard, I assume I can upgrade the A6 chip to and A8 chip in a year or two for what will be a $50-$60 dollar upgrade. Some of you are probably thinking why not just build a computer. I have done that in the past but this is a lot less headache, less time and more importantly it comes with an operating System. After the savings, it is very difficult to match this price with your own build.

System is less than 2 months old and currently the unit is out of service, won't start up and all files on it are in question. IBM wants to wipe it out and try to start from scratch. had to pay Staples to try to retreve files but can't read their disk. Staples warrentee is useless untill IBM surenders. May end up being repaired but if my time is worth anything I could have paid a lot more for better service and a better unit and be ahead.

As a regular customer for years, I had a $50.00 off coupon from the Staples Web Site I was rather upset that a week later it was advertised in the paper $100.00 off.
I purchased this computer for my mother for a mothers day gift. Since I already had a Dell digital 19" flat sceeen Monitor this computer made for a good choice. The computer I replaced was a Dell Laptop 8600 Inspiron purchased back in 2005. I payed 1/4 the cost of that laptop for this desktop. The speed of this new Lenovo desktop is incredable for the price. Handles windows 7, webpages, photo retouching/printing, office documents, music, and video's extremely well.."no waiting!" There is even a DVD Burner to share your pictures/music. The 500gb Harddrive is enough for now. I have external seagate HD to transfer stuff from her old computer as well to have back up copy of files. The cliche'.. You get what you pay for doesn't apply here.. You get much more for your money. Get one!
Oh, One thing.. This computer doesn't have a wireless card. This didn't matter to me because I prefer to connect directly with ethernet.
Yes, it does have an integrated sound card. An additional sound card can later be installed if needed.

Q:
Lenovo H415: "Product Detail" shows "Ethernet 10/100/1000M" "Specifications" shows "Onboard Ethernet 10/100". Is one of these wrong? (If not, what am I missing?)
100M simply means that, with proper installation, this unit can transmit at a higher rate with the proper connections. This unit is not hardwired for the 100M setup, but is 100m capable with the correct modifications.

I apologize for the confusion. The Lenovo H415 has Onboard Ethernet 10/100/1000M. If you wish to order this computer, feel free to do so online or call our Sales team at 1.800.333.3330. Our agents will be happy to assist you further.
The motherboard provided by the manufacturer unfortunately changes on each model, depending on what time frame you obtained it, it will have anywhere from 1XPCIe-x1 available up to 4. And for Express-X16 slots, it will have a maximum of one as this is not a gaming machine, nor is it designed for a dual graphics suite.

As per Lenovo this desktop PC has 2 slots - 1 unoccupied. There is a max at 8. Please feel free to contact the manufacture Lenovo at (866) 428-4465 for specific technical product details.
Any of those methods will work with the PC. It depends on whatever is most convenient. With USB, you just plug in and configure your OS. If you use an internal card, you're using up slots for other upgrades and paying for installation cost (assuming you don't install it yourself.)
