I normally do not purchase new technology but I could not miss out on this one. It has all the buzzers and whistles that one would need for both business and home applications. What sold me was the main option of touch screen on its own or with the keyboard attached. I felt that not only does if seem to be sturdy enough to last the test of time but compared to other like alternatives, tablets and lap tops, the price was well within my budget. I also took advantage of the Staples "Trade Up to Touch" offer, awesome way to encourage technology. With the keyboard it seems to be compact enough to carry along with the rest of my required work. I've owned this tablet for about a month and I'm very happy with it. Prior to purchasing I did a fair amount of research narrowing my choices to the Lenovo Lynx and the Microsoft Surface Pro.

There are plusses and minuses for each, notably the Surface uses an Intel Core processor which is faster than the Atom in the Lenovo, but also requires more power which shortens battery life. ditto for the high resolution display on the Surface. Those things also cost more. The Atom processor, though, has proven to be more than sufficient performing normal tasks - even full Office 2013 is handled without hesitation.

The display resolution of the Lynx is very nice - the quality of the display is great and easily visible in daylight.

Battery life is great, even better with the optional keyboard which has a battery built in, too, essentially doubling the battery life of the tablet.

The Lynx is not perfect, though. The plastic back could feel more solid, but it doesn't feel cheap, either. It could offer a full USB port instead of the micro, but it's not a deal-breaker. The audio volume rocker switch could be easier to manipulate.

The responsiveness of the touch screen, the size of the screen, and the weight of the tablet overall is exactly what I had hoped for. Very functional and flexible.

No real complaints, and no negative surprises at all.

I bought the keyboard to go along with the tablet but because it feels so light, I have only used it once. It snaps together and disconnects easily enough and it does work well if you use it on a sturdy surface.

The tab is good quality in general, nothing especial nor less than comparable full win8 tab currently in the market. I'm on my second unit, which I'll be returning tomorrow to staples store, again. Similar to other review, both Lenovo lynx tabs are having the same issue. Exactly after two weeks from buying at the staples store, each tablet stopped charging. Both tablets had the same exact symptom. It who's that it is charging, but, after few hours, it comes back as battery is v. Low, and needs to shut Down. After spending many hours with Lenovo's inept customer support, and many hard formatting of my first new tablet, their representative conceded that it is a hardware issue, and I better go & exchange the tablet at staples, because he cannot guarantee that if I sent it to Lenovo that they can fix it, because it is a brand new product, and they don't have much maintenance experience with it yet! In fact he suggested that it ma be because of bad handling of these tablets at Staples..So, with my second Lynx tab suffering from the same problem,& bought from the same staples store, one can only assume that probably Lenovo made a good sized batch of these tablets, and gave them to staples to sell. Of course it is not Staples's fault, but I think they'll carry the liability for Lenovo's bad QC, on this Lynx Tab product.

First, what I was looking for was a tablet that could also function as a business machine, meaning it had to be able to run real apps. This Lynx so far is meeting all of my expectations.

The Good: I upgraded it to Windows 8 Pro as I needed to be able to connect it to my domain. No issues there, even though Lenovo's site lists the highest O/S as the regular Windows 8. I also installed the full Office 2013 and still have 30Gb of disk space left. I also installed VMware View Client so I can work with my company's VM's. Everything functions great. Speed is decent, screen is sharp and the extra space from the 11.6" screen is definitely a selling point. The touch sensitivity on the tablet is very good.

Battery life is excellent and with the docking keyboard, it' even better and I'm getting close to the 16hours that Lenovo specs out.

What could be improved:

The tablet itself doesn't feel as solid as an iPad or Surface does, but it doesn't feel flimsy.

The keyboard dock is a great option, though I'm still getting used to the feel of the keys. The touchpad is a little sensitive at times, but not bad.

Overall: Let's say I don't carry an iPad anymore, as this does everything I used to use my iPad for but also runs real apps. It would have been even better with a WACOM digitizer, but I didn't really need that capability.
