I threw out a 4 month old Epson with it's $25 ink. I couldn't afford it. Unfortunately, the printer for this 105 ink is expensive, but get a coupon, wait for a sale and get it and buy the warranty. [$] for 4 black ink cartridges. I'm in heaven. What does Epson do, squish their ink out of an octopus' backside? C'mon Epson, you're gouging your customers, while Lexmark is listening to theirs.

Best price for black ink. If you rip through black ink like we do, it's a wise decision to get yourself a Lemark Pro series printer from Staples. Not only is it a reliable printer (we have 2), the customer service is very good and it come with a 5 years warranty, instead of the standard 1 year on most printers.

After the staples cashback and ink recycling, the black ink cartridge will cost you approximately $2.00 to $2.50.

The cartridges are easy to change out and thet are individual cartridges so they can be chnaged out as need be.

It's best buying the 4 pack of black online at Staples as the stores, or at least more local Staples does not carry 4-packs.

The product is used daily for printing out worksheets and other items for homeschool. It really does a very good job - it is easy to replace when the time comes and prints ideally for what we need to print. The price is more than reasonable compared to other products of its type.

The only problem we have is when we go to grab a sheet from the printer too soon that sometimes it hasn't dried completely. This is where the smear factor comes in, but it is usually at best slight. It tends to happen more often when you use the normal or best settings for printing, occasionally with the automatic setting, and never occurs with the quick print setting.

I like that there cartridges are inexpensive and if you consider the price of other print carts., these are much cheaper in the long run. They do not indicate when they are low, will print one page perfectly, then next time not print at all.

  The cartridges are different as they are made for separate machines. Also the size of the well that hold the ink would be different for each cartridge.

  The difference is Lexmark 105XL are part of the Lexmark Return Program. The 100XL are not and you are able to recycle the empty cartridges anywhere that does cartridge recycling.

  The Pinnacle Pro901 uses either the 100XL or 105XL ink cartridge, as well as a variety of others. The primary difference between the 100XL and the 105XL is the size of the well within the cartridge which physically holds the ink. The well on the 105XL is larger than on the 100XL; due to this difference it holds more ink and is priced higher at retail and online outlets.
