I use the product for copious amounts of documents, my wife uses it for pictures, my son uses it for college materials. We like the product quite well, however, it is a little pricey and the price adds up with us because we use it a lot. The resolution, clearity, drying, overall use and handling of the product is "FANTACTIC", I love it. If you can bring down the price a little, it would be a GODSEND".

Unfortunately, I bought the Lexmark X5495. The black #28 cartridge runs out in no time. If I get 100 -200 prints, that's it. The printer gives you messages that it's running out of ink almost immediately after you install it. There is a message telling me that I need to replace the color cartridge even though I have a brand new, never used color cartridge in my printer. Furthermore, I have to waste strokes telling the printer I do not care if the color cartridge is low on toner in order to just print out copies with black ink. The Hewlett Packard printers and supplies are far superior to Lexmark. The only thing I will say that Lexmark does good is replacing your printer. Instead of FIXING the problems, they just send you a new printer.

We don't use it extensively, but it didn't even last me and my wife two whole months. If you already got a Lexmark then you are stuck, but if you haven't...RUN.
