I print a lot of my photos. Though I have often purchased the Black and Color xl together for the best value, the color always runs out sooner, and at the most inopportune time. My particular Staples does not carry anything but the xl color cartridge, so I feel forced to put out the money and consistently am left wanting for value. I have NEVER gotten the 500 pg yield per the product's description.

One time, on new cartridge, ran out within a dozen pages. I callled lexmark and they replaced it. Runs out at about 250-300 pages.I typically have 60% black and white documents, 20% documents with a little color, and 20% flyers with a bit more color and a rare photo.
