Be prepared to pay more

I use this product to print professional correspondence and articles/work papers for editing and distribution.

The product is readily available and channging the ink is clean and easy.

My recent experience is that the cartridges run out sooner than had been the case in the past and the cost has risen to the point that I am reluctant to print as I once would have. I am looking for alternatives.

The cost of this item has increased dramatically in a time when many items are holding price or being reduced due to the current economic situation. I presume this is for an older printer like mine so the mfr. just thinks "screw 'em, they have no alternative". I could buy a new printer for what it cost to buy these cartridges ([$]). Some day I will, and buy these no more.
