The installation defaults to a setup script (suggested installation) that fails to install all the printer drivers and options. The print instructions do not exist, so in order to determine the correct procedure, I had to explore the website and do a bit of trial and error. I normally would have used the online customer support, but they were closed. Nevertheless, I solved the cryptic software requirements, and the printer works even better than I had hoped. Lexamark needs to get it's IT department to develop a better installation program. VS Most Liked Negative Review Does Not Duplex With Printer Drivers Printer-specific drivers won't duplex correctly and print out instruction sheet for manual duplexing instead of just doing it automatically, and the instructions don't work--there's not even a button they say to push on ...Read complete review Printer-specific drivers won't duplex correctly and print out instruction sheet for manual duplexing instead of just doing it automatically, and the instructions don't work--there's not even a button they say to push on the "D" model (the C540DW has auto-duplexing capabilities, but the Lexmark drivers don't support it). The Universal Driver can be used to support auto-duplex, but then it prints offset to the left by nearly 1/2". If you plan to print on both sides of the sheet, buy a different printer. By MrScience101 from Utah Comments about Lexmark� C540DW Wireless Color Laser Printer: In order to print double sided you must install the C543 XL drivers. The C540dw originally did not have automatic duplexing so the original driver does not work. In essence the new c540dw with automatic duplexing is for all purposes a c543. Then you have to add a lexmark advanced port under the properties. Then you have to type in the ip address of the printer. Then it works like a champ. A little dialogue to go with the pictures would have dropped the anxiety level. However with very little effort I now have a wireless laser printer that can serve all of my needs whether it is black&white or color.

Best Uses Comments about Lexmark� C540DW Wireless Color Laser Printer: I work with a lot of PDF's. Graphics and text intensive. I bought this primarily for the color and for auto duplex printing. The drivers included with the unit were not 64bit compatible. Didn't find that out until after a half a dozen issues. Once that was resolved, I finally started getting into the printing test.
