Bought this back in Jan of '10, I use the printer daily, but I would not say a heavy user. Was very easy set-up, basically plug and use.Two days ago, it stopped printing. I print from 3 comps in the house, but it is not set up on a network, each one is USB connected. I did all the trouble shooting to get it up and running, but to no avail. Called Lexmark customer support and even though they could not fix it, it's a dud, they are sending one out as a replacement. Way to go Lexmark and great customer support! Not sure why there are a few complaining about toner as I found the toner for [$]. The 'temp' toner lasted me almost 5 months, and it really shouldn't have lasted that long.

I wanted a printer that would work in Linux, as we generally use that. Ubuntu recognized it immediately and all functions work on it, including duplex. It prints well, not too dark for gray shade graphics. We haven't had it long enough to gauge the ink usage. So far so good.

Bought this printer about 60 days ago. Up until two (2) days ago it worked pretty well. It had good clear prints, but the printer began not recognizing that there was paper in the tray and would not print. It continued to indicate that the tray was empty when, in fact, it was full. I could not locate a fix in the manual or online so I called Lexmark[...] It does not work. It continually says that the printer has a paper jam, when it is not jammed. Called Lexmark, again, after a lenthly call, they will be shipping another printer. The tech indicated that he tested the "new" printer with 15 sheets to make sure it works. After 30 days, they will not send you a new printer, only a refurbished one, which may mean that it may not work like the current one (1) I have. Essentially, you have a thirty (30) day warranty with this machine. You may have better success with this printer than I. The one (1) I bought is a dud. If the third one (1) does not work, it is going into the dumpster and I will buy another brand.
