Q:
What exactly is a photoconductor kit? Do I need one? I definitely need a new toner cartridge, but will I need one of these photoconductor kits? If so, what is it, why will I need it, and how is it installed/used? Thanks.

The photoconductor kit (more commonly called a drum) takes the toner from the cartridge and transfers the image(s) to the paper. You replace this approximately every 25,000 printed pages. Your machine should warn you when it is time to replace, and installation instructions will be included in the box.
