Great for Books, Great for Keyboards

I have been using this USB Flexneck for several months now and its fantastic. It's almost identical to the regular Flexneck reading light, but this flexible neck and light can be detached from the clip section and plugged directly into the USB port on my laptop to illuminate my keyboard or the paperwork next to the computer.

Like the other Flexneck lights, When not in use the light head can be swiveled around and clamped into the hole in the clip, which makes it compact and capable of being attached onto my bag if looped through an opening before clamping the light to itself. The hole in the clip allows you to operate the light even when its clipped to itself so you can use it as a utility light

The light has two bright-white LED's and a nice soft rubbery coating to the clip itself. I find the clip does a good job of staying where placed and will hold back a good number of pages in a book, up to about 3/4 inch worth of pages.

The light uses two CR2032 batteries, the same as my garage door opener. The batteries are easy enough to find at my local storeas they are pretty common, they are usually next to the hearing aid batteries or camera batteries. The batteries are stored in the clip itself and the battery cover pops off by using the edge of a quarter to twist the cover off.

Works great when connected to its powered base!
The product could also use just one more LED for a bit more illumination, but other than that I don't regret the purchase.

I have used this light non-stop for more than 3 months and am absolutely delighted with it. Primarily I use it via its USB connection to illuminate my laptop keyboard at night. (I'm using it right now.) The light allows me to see everything perfectly, but its brightness is such that it does not disturb anyone else in the room. I also use the light with its batteries for traveling (it's very light-weight & portable), and for reading in a darkened room-- and again, this light illuminates a page perfectly while disturbing no one else. Everyone who sees this wonderful little gadget comments favorably... and I love it so much that I HAVE JUST ORDERED A SECOND ONE. Awesome product!, & one that I never want to be without.

I'm using this light to connect to a keyboard tray and light my keyboard at night (it's wireless but doesn't illuminate). The thickness of the clip is perfect and the amount of illumination is just right. I would recommend this.

What is the warranty on these lights? Mine no longer works when it is inserted into the USB slot on my laptop, but it will work when inserted into the clip it comes with. Computer USB slot does recognize other devices. Bought 12/2011.

  From the photo, the clip opens to just under 1 1/4", so the top piece touches the top of the USB case. The clip is meant to fit comfortably on a laptop or tablet or ereader.
