I tried to set it up on my own. The instructions were not the best. It hung up on 25% complete 3 times. I called the help line. After 2 hours they got it up and running perfectly. Very nice person that did it. They took control of my computer and did it all. Being a new technology for them because of the smartphone, guest and printer setups.. after it was all set up, I have had no problems with my phones, printers, computers, and tablets all going at same time. My old router could not do that. There are some more features I might use later..like the guest. All in all it is a very good router. I have had it now for 3 months

I bought this because my Linksys wireless G had broke after 6 years. When maiking the purchase, I thought I'd get a little better speed by going one level up from the basic Linksys router to the 2nd level EA2700 but the experience has been less than good. The router is in the basement where my desktop is and the kids play on the wired xbox. We also use 3 wireless ipods and 1 iphone and 1 tivo connection. I work from a wireless laptop on the 1st floor. We never had issues with a less then "very good" signal. Since getting this N we lose the connection or have a "low" signal in the same exact areas. I may be forced to by a signal booster for nearly the same price as I bought the router ...which doesn't make sense.

    Comments about Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with Gigabit:

Had to disable 5GHz to get reliable coverage. Even then, coverage drops off significantly when I am more than 15 feet away from the router in other rooms.
Didn't want to go through trial and error, so, will keep.

    Use Netflix and internet together

      Comments about Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with Gigabit:

Upgraded our home network to add Netflix via a LG blue ray player connection. We also can get Netflix on our Dell laptop in another room. Set was done by our daughter who is a computer professional. I later added a second Blu-ray player (Sony) to a second TV just by plugging in the HMDI cable and turning it on. We use the slowest speed Mediacom cable internet because of the price, so we have to wait a few seconds for the players to connect to Netflix. Have not tried to watch Netflix on both TV's at the same time, but have been on internet with the laptop while Netflix is on the TV in the other room.

how many nodes can use with maximum bandwidth?
Asked on 3/31/2013 by mike327 from NJ

            1 answer

            • A:

The answer to you question depends on the amount of bandwidth available to the Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router and other environmental elements specific to your network. So I can't provide with a numerical value for your question.
