Q: I have a Cisco Linksys E1200 in my office at one end of my average-sized city apartment. I get good WiFi coverage in my office, bedroom, hallway, kitchen and bathroom. BUT, in the dining area, the WiFi coverage comes and goes and in the opposite end of my apartment, in the living room, there is no coverage. Will this extender solve my problem? Thank you. Asked on 2/7/2013 by JoJo from Brooklyn, NY Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: Absolutely. Place it roughly halfway between the original router and the point you are having issues with, and it will amplify your signal significantly. You may also do well to just buy an access point, which just sends your router signal farther, instead of also having the increased functionality of being a bridge (which is mostly like a router as well). Answered on 2/11/2013 by Community Answer from None A: A range extender will provide you with stronger and more reliable network coverage in more places in your home by picking up and reflect the existing WiFi signals from your router or access point. Many users use a range extender to enhance, increase the distance, or to expand areas with weak or missing signals. Judging by the description of your issue, a range extender should help you greatly. However, you may wish to speak with Linksys to ensure that your router is not simply experiencing an error. Answered on 2/11/2013 by Kayla T. from Staples
