              Can be used for iPad 1 or 2. Holds iPad either portrait or landscape. Nice comfortably spaced keys. Gives you typing options not available on original on-screen keyboard. Best used on a desk...keyboard not attached to stand so can't balance both on lap. Still have to touch iPad ocassionally for some commands. Useful if have a lot of data entry. Nice hard protective carrying case.

                Makes typing longer passages quick and accurate. Because I always keep my iPad in a case which allows it to stand up, haven't tried the "transformer" case for the keyboard which reshapes into an iPad stand. This is the best iPad keyboard I've yet seen. Comfortable to use, and re-establishes contact with the iPad within a second or two of turning it on. Highly recommend!

                    I only use the on-screen keyboard for short entries. For any significant text entry I prefer an external keyboard. Used an Apple bluetooth keyboard at first, but after thinking about it for a while purchased this keyboard. I prefer it to the Apple keyboard. Better feel and dedicated keys - about half an inch longer from side to side than the Apple keyboard, but that doesn't seem to matter in carrying it. Case/stand is ingenious design, but since my iPad is already in a case/stand I like, I only use it for good protection for the keyboard.

                    In summary: good design, functions well. I recommend it.
