I use this product for home and business. In fact the webcam works so good I purchased 10 more for employees and 3 more for family members. The camera and sound is very clear, easy to use, and very reliable. I have used several other brands and sent them back due to quality of camera,sound, etc. I love this webcam and highly recommend it for quality and price.

I used it to connect with my daughter on Skype as she studies in Europe for 3 months.

It has great video and sound most of the time.

I was disappointed that it was inconsistent when my daughter would skype me from Europe. She could see me, but when I spoke I sounded like a chipmunk. When I skyped her, it worked fine.

Do not use the software upgrade as it fails - I had to uninstall it and use the orginal software

I just wanted something to use on Skype to see my grandkids and was going to purchase a less expensive product. My husband stopped me and insisted I buy up, he was right. The picture quality is insanely good and the color is right on even in low light conditions. Reasonably priced for the quality you receive.

Basic requirements are 1 GHz, 512 MB RAM or more, 200 MB hard drive space, Internet connection, and USB 1.1 port (2.0 recommended). Yes you would be able to use the above with your Acer One laptop.
