      The documentation is lacking. Need to understand how to disconnect laptop speakers and set proper levels in order to get quality sound.
      You are on your own trying to get it set up. Once you get it to where you want it, write down your settings because once your re-boot it all goes away.

        i think it's a great speaker, sound is very good and i'm pleased with it. the only thing i don't like is that it sits behind my pc rather than sitting on top like my previous one. i have a hearing problem and by sitting behind affects me able to hear it well, so i set it up to sit in the front but it covers my browser. under normal circumstances it would be great. it's really a good little speaker otherwise.

          The speakers are pretty good when you take into account their size on my Lenovo Y-570. However, I do listen to music while I work and watch videos and movies from time to time. I wanted a speaker that small and light enough to carry daily with my laptop but still have good sound quality and channel separation. I think the Z-305 does a fine job of that. Mounting it on the top of the screen means a no cluttered work surface. The USB cable is the perfect length. It's short and stays close to the laptop. Although not as loud as desktop speakers, it has a good clean sound and is a big improvement over the laptop alone. Also, I was worried that the spring clamp that mounts it to the top of the screen would block the microphones near the camera. No problem. The spring clamp and body have soft rubber contact surfaces to protect against scratches too. Design and construction are typical Logitech high quality.

            Allows great sound for small computing devices. My tablet notebook never sounded better with these powerful tiny speakers. There's no fuss since power and sound come through one USB connection. I love this for all my work and pleasure.
