I have been using Dragon Systems Medical for years but have been frustrated by the headset and mike that plugs into my laptop. Someone told me to look for a USB mike. I did not want to invest a ton of money if it was to be no better than what I had.

What a surprise! Accuracy improved tremendously. I don't have to repeat commands like I did with a mike that uses the sound board. I don't have to keep the mike an inch from my mouth like I did with the headset. I just put it on the desk and speak. I can even turn my head and it still picks up accurately.

My only wish is that it folded up into a compact form that I could easily put into my bag with my computer so I could take it along. This folds down, but I fear breaking it. A telescoping mike that moves into a solid base would be nice. I'd even buy another one if they do that.

This one ends up in the trash can

For general use, this microphone is probably acceptable. It's certainly a reasonable price. However, when I found that the microphone was not staying in position, I contacted Logitech. They provided me with absolutely no response. I was able to fix this using rubber bands. It looks little bit ghetto, but it works at least for now.

As far as voice recognition is concerned, the noise canceling features of this microphone are limited. Frequently when I'm dictating, I will get "him him him him himhim him him him" inserted into my dictation. In fact, my intention above was only to type "him" Four times. I have to turn the microphone on off to avoid having this happen.

For me, this microphone has been waste of time. I'm going to have to get something to replace it which is the reason I'm giving this review in the first place.

Purchased this product to record a voice over on a video, it was easy to install and even easier to use. The backtground noise was eliminated and the clarity was excellent.

This is ideal for use with my Skype phone. It folds down for easy portability and it plugs into a USB port for instant use. The sound quality is excellent -- the people I am calling can hear me perfectly. I travel a lot and use this with my laptop, and it is ideal. I plug it in and it sits compactly next to the computer. Highly recommended.
