Overall these are good computer speakers with great sound, however, I wish that I'd have gone for some that go even louder for the price(but then again I am kind of a nut about loud music). I especially like the headset jack so I can sit at my desk and listen to music while not disrupting other members of the household.

Fits nicely on computer desk and looks nice.

I bought these speakers specifically to present a homemade "Halloween" video to my son's 5th grade class of 30 students plus parents. The speakers performed beautifully, even though they were located on the floor. My only complaint would be that the wiring (as with most speakers) is too short. In this setting, six feet apart isn't far enough. Sound was crystal clear and plenty loud.

  These come with a power supply, meaning that they get power from an outlet, not your computer. They will not turn off when the computer does.

  Due to the curved shape of this computer you would be unable to mount these on the wall. As well the cord on these particular speakers is only 3.5" long if you were wanting to extend this range I would suggest using a Stereo Extension Cable (Item: 837543). Even though we had to place the speakers on the floor, the sound was crystal clear and loud enough to hear the crickets that had been chirping in the background when the video was being made--I was very impressed. I believe these speakers would work well in a presentation setting with 30 to 40 individuals. Particularly if the speakers can be placed off the floor.
