Opening the main compartment on the side closest to your body is a plus me. The case is small enough to leave on while shooting, and the fact that it opens on the side toward my body lets me open it up to get, stow and change pieces of gear more safely than the conventional designs. It also keeps the main compartment opening descrete from the stap-over pouches/slide ins part. I keep two Powershot G12's in the main compartment (one with a constant dedicated telephoto lens and menu settings(Canon OEM tele adapter lens for G12). The other has a dedicated setup for a filter adapter/lens hood with non-tele settings) I also keep a remote control and extension cord for it in the main compartment. I keep extra back-up batteries, filters, cleaning cloths, SDHC cards, etc. in those pockets. I can also choose to store my Speedlite 320ex Flash plus a hot-shoe extension card for off camera use in the main compartment instead of extra tele camera. I think you would do better with the 180 size Rezo for one smallish DSLR and smallish lens. Otherwise, try the NOVA 180 which I also use and would be great for an "enthusiast" DSLR setup with flash and one additional lens to that mounted on the camera. Always be sure to check the INSIDE measurements though to make sure the case fits your needs. I've found excellent construction, rugged, lightweight materials and lack of defects on all three of the Lowepro products I've purchased in the past year. I gave one to my wife and use the Nova 180 for large accessories and flash, while I sue the smaller always at my side holding the two cameras when I'm shotting. (I shoot travel, street photo and landscapes). I took of one star because there is only an outside pouch on one side of the case. One on the other side would have been easy to do and made it that much more convenient and adaptable. (The Nove 180 has a pouch on both sides. One other note is that the Nove 180 is NOT something I find at all comfortable to actually carry by my side while shooting, so it stays in my car as a transporter stowaway organizer, or gets put on the ground when actually taking a shot (if I drag it along while shooting on foot. The Nova is great but boxy and I don't even use the shoulder strap because the boxy case is clumbsy and looks a bit weird. I just carry it like a luch pale using the short strap on top and it works fine that way as a carry along. The Rezo series is tops for comfort and to "keep it on your shoulder always" while shooting. It's easy to fiddle about and choose battaries, cords, accessories and memory cards WHILE IT IS AT WASTE LEVEL strapped over your shoulder. It comforms great to the body and looks slick and unobtusive. I'd buy another, slightly larger one when I needed when I go DSLR, I think this one will last a good ten years or more.

nice features but
quickly outgrew it when adding accessories to my camera. should have purchased a bigger bag. great for small cameras, but tight fit for SLRs with accessories.

I bought this one because it was the only one Staples had at the time I bought the camera. Turns out that Canon makes their own case with room to store more lenses ad make equipment more confortable. It is good when I go to the dog who for example because I just leave the other lenses at home and the case makes the camera safe. It is washable and rain resistant, has a place to store the battery and lens cleaner and does have one divider in case I decided to take the second lens. It will fit the 55 x 250 tele lens with ease.

This is a very nice camera case made of heavy duty materials. I really like the pull over rain cover. A little small for the Nikon D200 camera I bought it for but it works just fine since I use a 18 to 250 mm zoom lens and don't need to carry any other lenses as no extra ones would fit. Spare batteries, charger & cord, CF cards, etc fit nicely. An external hot shoe mounted flash could also be carried with spare batteries but nothing more. Would be better for a smaller camera but I needed it for its compact size. Great quality for the price.

A well made Camera bag. I could just fit my Canon Rebel with the 18-55 attached, and had just enough room for my 55-250 zoom and battery charger.
I wish the bag was about 1 inch deeper so I could leave my 55-250 zoom attached to the body. and not have to switch back to the 18-55 to store the equipment.

I am an Advanced Amateur - who has owned Leica, Nikon and Canon High End Cameras! I just bought this Lowe Pro Rezo A 160 bag for use with my new Canon G12 Camera plus some other gear. I love what Lowe Pro calls the "Reverse Top Cover," which opens close to my body and gives me easy access to the camera. The bag is light weight, well organized, and typical of all Lowe Pro Gear, which means high quality. You cannot find a manufacturer of Camera bags that has better quality. Lowe Pro makes a slightly larger bag called the A 170 which I also bought. The A 170 Rezo will be my "back up camera bag" if I need to carry an SLR as well as my Canon G12 or if I decide to buy a second G12. My Advice: Buy this camera bag without any reservation. You will not be disappointed. Good Luck!

I was happy to find this bag for my new camera and all the gear that goes with it. It's handy to grab and go, and holds everything safely. It looks good, too.
The Lowepro Rezo 160 bag is 5.7deep, 8.4 high and 9.4 inches in width, it weighs1.4 pounds. The Lowepro website, http://products.lowepro.com/product/Rezo-160-AW,2007,20.htm, provides a great product detail page.
