Opening the main compartment on the side closest to your body is a plus me. The case is small enough to leave on while shooting, and the fact that it opens on the side toward my body lets me open it up to get, stow and change pieces of gear more safely than the conventional designs. It also keeps the main compartment opening descrete from the stap-over pouches/slide ins part. I keep two Powershot G12's in the main compartment (one with a constant dedicated telephoto lens and menu settings(Canon OEM tele adapter lens for G12). The other has a dedicated setup for a filter adapter/lens hood with non-tele settings) I also keep a remote control and extension cord for it in the main compartment. I keep extra back-up batteries, filters, cleaning cloths, SDHC cards, etc. in those pockets. I can also choose to store my Speedlite 320ex Flash plus a hot-shoe extension card for off camera use in the main compartment instead of extra tele camera. I think you would do better with the 180 size Rezo for one smallish DSLR and smallish lens. Otherwise, try the NOVA 180 which I also use and would be great for an "enthusiast" DSLR setup with flash and one additional lens to that mounted on the camera. Always be sure to check the INSIDE measurements though to make sure the case fits your needs. I've found excellent construction, rugged, lightweight materials and lack of defects on all three of the Lowepro products I've purchased in the past year. I gave one to my wife and use the Nova 180 for large accessories and flash, while I sue the smaller always at my side holding the two cameras when I'm shotting. (I shoot travel, street photo and landscapes). I took of one star because there is only an outside pouch on one side of the case. One on the other side would have been easy to do and made it that much more convenient and adaptable. (The Nove 180 has a pouch on both sides. One other note is that the Nove 180 is NOT something I find at all comfortable to actually carry by my side while shooting, so it stays in my car as a transporter stowaway organizer, or gets put on the ground when actually taking a shot (if I drag it along while shooting on foot. The Nova is great but boxy and I don't even use the shoulder strap because the boxy case is clumbsy and looks a bit weird. I just carry it like a luch pale using the short strap on top and it works fine that way as a carry along. The Rezo series is tops for comfort and to "keep it on your shoulder always" while shooting. It's easy to fiddle about and choose battaries, cords, accessories and memory cards WHILE IT IS AT WASTE LEVEL strapped over your shoulder. It comforms great to the body and looks slick and unobtusive. I'd buy another, slightly larger one when I needed when I go DSLR, I think this one will last a good ten years or more.

nice features but

quickly outgrew it when adding accessories to my camera. should have purchased a bigger bag.
great for small cameras, but tight fit for SLRs with accessories.

I have been looking for a camera case for a while, and finally came across this one that would fit both the body and an extra lens while still being of some-what small in size.
