I purchased this camera case for my new Canon SX200. My old SD600 was smaller and I had been using a cell phone case for it. The old case had a hook and loop fastened flap to secure the contents. I could snatch it open instantly and retrieve the camera. It also clipped onto my belt. The Ridge 30 case from LowePro, while definitely more secure with its zippered pouch takes more time to locate the zipper pull and get the camera out. Also more secure but less convenient is the belt loop which requires loosening one's belt and pulling it out of at least one pant's belt loop to hang it or remove it. The small zippered card compartment is a nice feature. I will probably use it for a spare battery since I also bought an 8GB card (also reviewed) for my camera. I feel that my camera is more secure, less likely to be damaged, fall out of the case, be pick-pocketed in a crowd, or fall off the belt when motorcycling than my previous 'camera case'. I'm a pro photographer and use other LowePro equipment cases with a high satisfaction level.
