(Please Note: Since the charger for the Kindle Fire is larger than other devices' chargers, it will not fit in the front zippered pocket.) The double zipper closure allows access to all ports so that the device never needs to be removed from the jacket for charging. The Latitude Jacket is compatible with the M-Edge e-Luminator Touch booklight (sold separately), an innovative booklight that integrates into all M-Edge jackets.

          The M-Edge Latitude Jacket is the best protection for a Kindle. I have used other cases that do not zip and always find that something regularly slide in between the case and the Kindle when it is in a bag. I switched to this case and have now bought them for both of my children's Kindles as well.

          When I purchased my new Kindle Paperwhite, the only option for me was this case. It allows me to use the Kindle as intended - EVERYWHERE - and not worry about its safety.

          The only difference between this case for the Paperwhite and the case for the Kindle Keyboard is that the Paperwhite is that there is no zippered pocket on the front of the case. I would occasionally stick notes or cash in that pocket on my other case. Not a huge deal, just a difference worth noting.
