After going to Staples looking for envelopes of which they were in stock, I began to purchase ink cartridges as well and again they were stocked. I searched online for the screen protectors for my Kindle Fire Hd and while in Staples I was curious as to whether I could find them. A sales associate approached me asking if I needed help locating them of which I did. I was directed to the location of these screen protectors and purchased them. After getting home I read the instructions and put one on my Kindle Fire Hd and it not only protects from the oils n your fingers but it makes a world of difference and I use a stylus now which I love. Staples has it all from products to knowledgeable staff who are there to help with any need.

I got this as a replacement for the Buffalo screen protector that I originally bought with my Kindle Fire HD 7 inch (Model X43Z60) in 2013. The M-Edge turned out to be slightly too big at the corners, so that it did not seal down at the corners; what's more, the film covered the camera lens and light meter port, interfering with the camera function. It also tended to form large bubbles between the membrane and the screen that could not be removed except by removing the protector. Then they would form again when I reapplied it. I tried both of the M-Edge protectors (package of 2). Neither one would go on cleanly. (I suspect that the M-Edge was designed for a later model of the Kindle Fire HD 7" The square corners would not lie cleanly on the curved corners of the Kindle screen and probably caused air to get underneath.)
It was at this point, when I gave up on the M-Edge, that I noticed how clear the screen looked with no protector film on it. I realized that, since I keep the Kindle in a Belkin felt-lined book cover anyway, that's all the protection the glass screen needs. And reading is much easier without any protective film blurring the screen.
My recommendation is to buy a protective book-type cover for your Kindle Fire HD and forget about the plastic film covers. Your eyes will thank you.

Bought the Kindle Fire H D for my husband for Christmas. I got the biggest smile for my efforts. Works like a dream, after I'd bought him a tablet that quit working after four days. Stick with what you know. With Kindle products you can't go wrong.
