As soon as we added weight the bottom drawer wouldn't closes because the top cabinets floor sank. We are returning it and getting something better for the price we paid.

I love this file cabinet BUT the handles on the pull out drawers keep coming out so that makes the cabinet security questionable.

[...] Once I began filling the bottom drawer with hanging files and documents, the cabinet began tilting over. My cabinet was being used under a desk so luckily I was able to nudge cabinet in place with one of the styrofoam corners from the packaging it came in. But if you're looking to just have the cabinet stand on it's own, without having something of significant weight on top, then this is NOT a good option for you. Also, I was hoping to use the side compartment drawer to lock up some personal documents and keys but the handles just pop out from the outside leaving a huge opening....you can totally just stick in a skinny arm to pull out the content. The other drawers need to be completely closed before any drawer can be opened.If it wasn't such a headache for me to repackage the item and return it, I wouldn't keep the file cabinet.

I initially purchased this item because I wanted/liked the capability of having a locking storage and file combo. The drawers were defective on the first one ordered and the locks did not work properly. SO, I reordered and tried again. The locks are still not working properly, one of them will not even unlock!

This cabinet not only supplements my desk storage but keeps my active files right at hand plus it is my printer stand and keeps my commonly used printer supplies right beside me. It does this without taking up a lot of floor space. Floor (office) space is not just a premium or a perk but a necessity when you are differently-abled.You cannot open the file drawer unless the other drawers are completely and absolutely closed flat and flush with the front of cabinet (and visa versa) - a little more forgiveness in the safety mechanism would be nice.
