Before purchasing this item, I had several files stacked on the corner of my desk. Every time I needed a particular file, I had to shuffle through them all to find the one that I needed. I regularly would knock some of them off onto the floor and they also would regularly fall over onto the other papers on the desk. The day I purchased this product I had gone to Staples to look for ink pen refills. I saw this file holder on the shelf and remembered the aggravating files.
Now that I have this holder, the files stay in their place and are easier to find. Also when in the holder they only take up about half the space as before.

This product is exactly what I was looking for to organize files in a built-in cubby on my desk that is not wide enough for most file organizers. The dividers are high enough that files don't flop around, and it also holds 1" binders nicely. I like that it does not stagger the height of the files like many vertical organizers - that just wouldn't work for my needs in this situation, so I was so pleased to find this.
