Bookends

These bookends flush straight so it can go in between books and file folders and not lose space. They hold up heavy books and files very well - I like the non-slip bottoms.

no better than smaller, cheaper bookends

I needed stronger-than-normal bookends for a shelf that gets a lot of use holding large and/or heavy and/or uneven books and folders, and I thought these were supposed to be strong since they were taller than normal, but they are only taller, not the least bit stronger. They gave way and bent first thing as books were being removed, replaced, etc. I will try to buy something stronger (again) as soon as I get a chance. These would only be good for just holding books that don't need to be taken out & put back much (or at all), because they won't slip at all once everything is placed, straight, and balanced. However, I think cheaper items would do that job just as well.

      These are really solid well made bookends which I use to hold up very heavy binders and folders on top of my work station; if they fail, there would be a real mess to clean up, but I am confident that they will do their job very well for a very long time.

          I use these to workbook type textbooks on a shelf in my storage unit. They are very flimsy and bent very easily. I am not happy with them at all. I have since purchased a heavier duty WAY more solid bookends that do the job
