This product works as expected except for the bottom row on the door itself. We have 2 or 3 keys hanging on each tag. These two or three keys are already on a single small round key ring. If we hook the key ring to the tag, the keys hang too low and we cannot close the door. We have to hook each individual key on the key tag in order for the door to shut. These keys are also not normal sized keys. They are smaller mailbox keys. I hung regular sized keys up (house key - 2 inches) to see how they fit and they just barely miss the bottom of the door if you hang them individually directly on the key tag. If you are only hanging 1 key per tag, not a problem. But if you need to hang multiple keys per tag, it is kind of annoying. This is the case, though, only on that bottom row on the door itself. The other three rows work just fine by hanging the keys by their key ring.

  The info is "recorded" as the keys are assigned. You will still need a keeper of the keys to open this unit. The unit comes with numbered key tags and lock location charts. The keys are attached to numbered key tags and filed on key rack slots for easy identification (key tag included). When a key is loaned or issued, an "Out Key" control tag recording key number, key recipient, and date is filled out. "Out Key" tag is filed on same slot to provide key accountability. Alphabetical and numerical lock location charts aid in organization
