I use these books for a varirety of things. Some I use as friendship journals, writing letters in them and shipping them all over the country. My friend will write a response and return the journal. When the book is full a new one is dispached. Using a book that is inexpensive, for a journal, is great because I am not afraid of losing it. It is also nice that my friends can purchase a replacement journal almost anywhere in the country will little effort. I also use this type of book to keep track of serial numbers.

Nice quality - the paper is smooth and a nice weight. Pens glide right across the surface. The binding is sturdy and seems like it won't fall apart with normal wear and tear. We gave these away as gifts to a group of young people so they could begin to write more often and have time to reflect. Their instructions were to write whatever came to mind, about their day, notes or even a short story. Everyone was so excited, they have been using them a great deal, some non-stop. Then we got them for a group of adults too. This journal is so nice, you actually want to write things in it. I highly recommend them.

Takes ink from a fine point fountain pen well. If only it had an elastic strap holding it closed like other notebooks in this style it would be perfect for me.
