    Can two of these Workstations be assembled side by side so that it will be a:
    1) U-shaped Double workstation 72" each of 2 wings x 144" wide.
    2) The verticle side panels between the two work stations would
    no longer exist and replaced with a bracket off the rear
    panel so that the table top is continuous or butts against
    one another without any obstruction between the two work
    stations.

      A:

      On the Maxon parallel the vertical side panels do have supports to assist in holding the desk. you could assemble 2 side by side but they will have the side panels.
