I've been using these to take notes for many years. The brightness of the pages is adequate and the lines on the pages (college-ruled) are well-defined.Pages can be easily torn out when needed. The pockets are convenient. I have a wide variety of colors.

Would like this notebook w/o the punched holes and perforations. The paper quality is good as is the sturdy cover, but it's geared toward school use not business meetings.
