I was working on a video presentation and then burning to DVD for use on TV and computers. Other brands I had on hand burned fine... and played fine on both computers (tested on several at home and then work, both Mac and Windows). Verbatim and Maxell DVD's I had on hand played on several DVD players quite well, but the Memorex Discs had sanpping, pixellation, and generally mediocre playback on two different DVD players.

Very poor quality unreliable can not depend on recovering data after recording it. About four out of ten in the package did not work. Returning to Memorex for credit was a hassle: never received any relief.
