Product delivered the results I was expecting. The burn time may be a little slow, but you must also take into consideration that the data being burned is twice the amount of a normal DVD. I had no problems with any of the discs in this pack. Overall, I would definitely recommend these to anyone who is looking to purchase DL DVD's.

Until now I had used Sony brand DVD+R DL's. Rarely did I have a problem but they are more expensive - or were. These DVD's flat out are not reliable. I have a very good Sony DVD burner (DRU-830A) and two very good DVD players certified to play DL DVD's. More often than not, these DVD's cause both players to skip or stop. These are just too expensive to run the risk of a faulty burn. I'm going back to the Sony brand. Might try Verbatim. This is Memorex's first try at DL technology and Sony was the only brand available until just recently. Wish I could get my money back but I've wasted half the pack trying to do burns that failed on playback. The Sony DVD recorder which burned them can play them fine but not a Sony DVD player certified to play them. A Sony DVD+R DL recorded today on same hardware is fine I might add.

    I tried 5 disks in a row - and all failed to burn on my Dell GX620 desktop. The first failed at the very beginning of layer 1, then one went all the way through both layers and at the end of layer 2 reported error - you could see a file on that disk after that, but it was corrupt. The rest 3 failed in the beginning of layer 2, one error was "cannot follow track" or something, the others encountered just "some" error. Other DL disks worked fine before (mostly Verbatim).
    My Toshiba R500 laptop did not recognize these disks at all.

    I had a failure rate over 75% on three different drives. At 1X they seem to work well.

        As I Said, 3 out of 15 quit halfway through the burn. For the price this is no good. The second time I tried dual layer, why they make them in DVD+ config. I don't know. DVD-R are much better.
