I've used these DVDs primarily as data DVDs to back up about a half terabyte of digital and scanned photos, about 75 hours of Hi-8 tape video, and about 10,000 songs I've recorded from old LPs. Not sure whether that qualifies me as an "enthusiast" or a "power user". I've only burnt a few actual TV-playable DVDs. I've also used a couple other brands for some of that backup recording, and I experienced about a 10-15% failure to read the pre-coded Lightscribe key on the other brands, so I couldn't burn the lighscribe label on them. The Memorex discs have been flawless through about 100 DVDs, so far. I've been able to consistently burn about 4.35 Gigs on each disc. They burn at about 10-13x speeds and read at close to 16x speed. I've been very satisfied with the Memorex lightscribe discs. Don't really have anything negative to say about them. I've been buying them when Staples has them on sale, and the price is better than I was paying for the other brands when on sale at other retailers.
