I used it to make a music CD. I use a Nero ROM Burning software to burn the Lightscribe image onto the disk. The darker colors (particularly the blue) does not produce a well-contrasted image, and the song list was difficult to read.

The entire stack took the songs well and at the recommended speed at about 6 to 8 minutes for 74+ minutes of music.

I would buy them again, but would be judicious in using specific low-contrast cover images and small text.

I was able to write the audio CD very fast.
I was unable to label the CD with LightScribe software. I received a message that I needed an update. I tried for 20 minutes to get the latest LightScribe software and kept getting a message that the installation failed. The main reason I bought this product was to label it and that didn't work. Maybe that is more a reflection on Lightscribe, but HP disks write labels fine - never had a problem.

I have a computer that has labelflash to label CDs and DVDs. Will lightscribe discs work with that?

  No Labelflash requires a special Labelflash disk.

  My Toshiba laptop came with a Labelflash DVD/CD burner which limited me to using Labelflash media. However, I also have an external USB Lightscribe DVD/CD Burner which I use with other computers.
  
  I downloaded and installed the Lightscribe software onto my Toshiba laptop and now I can use either Labelflash (internal drive) or Lightscribe (external USB burner) media with the Toshiba laptop. The burning application automatically recognizes each drive when it has it's type media loaded.
  
  If you really like your laptop but not the Labelflash limitation, pick up an external USB Lightscribe drive and then you can use either type media with the same laptop. This will also keep you in business should shortages in either type of media affect availability or pricing.

  Susan, I belive labelflash is different from lightscribe, but here is what you can do with loghtscribe CDs and DVDs. if you have a CD/DVD-burner that supports lightscribe CDs and DVDs, you can use LightScribe Cds and DVDs to actually grave your pictures, text, etc... on it with that. so its not like printing and attaching a paper to CDs and DVDs. Hope this answers your questions.
