In my Magnavox standalone recorder -- no problem. These discs are very "responsive" -- you don't have to spend a lot of time waiting for the DVD recorder to do its housekeeping work.

I had trouble with these in a "LiteOn" Standalone DVD recorder, but then again, I have trouble with all kinds of DVDs in that recorder, so I can't blame this product... the LiteOn DVD recorder (which I already had to send back for exchange, once, and then the replacement unit developed similar issues) appears to simply be a poorly-designed (or poorly QC'ed) product.

Memorex Re-writable DVD-RW

I have long wanted to record television shows to accommodate our busy lifestyle and calendar conflicts. Videotape quality has become increasingly obsolete and successful re-use is fragile at best. I researched the ability to re-use DVDs and consulted an employee at Staples. To date, I've not had a single successful recording. I'm extremely disappointed in my product purchase and am stuck with 25 DVDs.

They work so far. I don't believe the 1000 rewrites.The DVD RAM disc certainly didn't make their rewrite quota of 100,000, so I don't expect these DVD-RWs to make 1000.
Not a big fan of Memorex.

This was our first purchase of R/W DVD's to go along with a new DVD playback/record unit. The recorded programs playback as nicely as the broadcast. Our source is Directv HD and our monitor is a Toshiba 32" HD LCD.
