My first choice was to purchase the Staples brand slim jewel cases because I'm a Staples brand fan - good quality/lower prices. I decided to purchase these Memorex brand instead (that are very good but more expensive) because I couldn't find a single Staples brand slim jewel cases package that was intact. All of them had cracked cases. Staples packaging has only a fine clear film on the front that doesn't protect the cases at their weakest side.
Memorex's cases are well protected and none was broken or scratched. Well done Memorex.

            These were not sturdy at all, and some didn't even function right out of the package due to broken hinges. The slim design is nice, but I didn't think it meant "too cheap to last".
