I bought this product on sale for a great price. I was very pleased that this brand was on sale[$]. I also was able to use my rewards for the purchase. The storage space on the discs is wonderful and I am able to do so much with the amount of disc space available. I can make DVD's, transfer my data on my computer for backup, etc. Wonderful purchase for great price!

planned to burn iTune songs to discs. Did so and then tried them in car CD player. None of the three types played in my car. The player is working because I have used other discs in it (some burned and some commercial). Each time I was assured in store that I was buying the right one!!

Every time I use something other than a Memorex blank DVD - I have to cross my fingers that I'll get good results. The Memorex are very durable and level, features that other manufacturers don't consider as desirable by consumers. I save all of my home movies on Memorex DVD's as these can never be replaced. Now that I have 50 blanks, I can easily make back-ups of them. The discs work well on all of my equipment including computers and portable DVD players and recorders. I will recommend them to my friends in the future.

I would prefer it if Staples caried Verbatim media. I normaly don't consider Memorex when I buy blank discs........ I needed some and these were on sale.

  The top surface of these discs are matte gray in color. Please take note these are NOT light scribe discs, that is a different product.

  Memorex 4.7GB DVD+R disc can be used to record copies of digital videos or DVDs. You still need the proper software on your computer to copy the videos on to the disc.

  There is no real physical difference between DVD-R and DVD+R, however functional differences between the two include the DVD recorder's built-in defects management, the way the recorders formats and writes to DVDs and the price. DVD+R is supported by Sony, Yamaha, Philips, Dell and JP. DVD-R is supported by Mitsubishi, Sony, Hitachi and Time Warner.

  CD+R does not exist in CD's, only in DVD's. In CD's you have two choices -RW ( rewritable) or - R (write once).
