I create picture-music DVDs for my clients for weddings, anniversaries and memorial services. My labels need a professional, polished look. If you let the labels "set" for about 10 -15 secs, then they don't smudge. The only drawback I have found is that the refill packs only have 20 sheets. Yes, you have to buy the Memorex labels to work in the program. But the program is so versatile that you can add anything from pictures to clip art, in multiples or singles. Be careful-only use DVD labels for DVDs. They are made just for DVDs. By using the whole label you avoid the "large hole," which is why I don't get the Staples DVD labels - they don't have the small center hole that I need to make my labels look complete. The program also includes the preparation for the case inserts to match the CD/DVD label.

I do like this product. However, the alignment instructions leave lots to be desired. I am a scientist with an advanced college degree (M.S.) and I couldn't figure out how to fix the alignment. I had to call for help. Instead of following the included instructions, it would be better to include extra labels (you will ruin several in alignment) and just tell us to run a blank label through, THEN make the adjustments from that result.

I was skeptical that making and applying labels would be easy and professional looking. After using the program, the labels, and the label applier, seeing was believing. Printing quality is excellent (using a mono laser printer - I'd imagine using an inkjet would require one to let them dry for several minutes). I was surprised at how easy it was to apply the labels. They go right on, with not one problem/mistake after dozens of labels! The labels stick very well, and are easy to smooth out if slight "bubbling" occurs during application.
Package was great for my personal purpose, except that it did smudge about 10 out of 80 printouts on the black color. I thought it was my printer, but nothing else printed smudged. Otherwise for $15 this was a great program/kit.
The are only a couple drawbacks to this product. The templates aren't great. The template from Photoshop is good, but the one for Illustrator is about useless. The stickers tend to curl which makes application a bit tricky. If the sticker touches the CD and it's not where you want it there's nothing you can do.
